The Oakland Raiders are one of six NFL teams to partner with a group of sport entities and equipment manufactures that will provide a helmet replacement program for youth in underserved communities.

Partnership between NFL, NFL Players Association, USA Football, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Athletic Equipment Reconditioners Association (NAERA), NCAA, National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE), Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA), Rawlings, Riddell, Schutt, and Xenith is supported by U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission
The new program will remove helmets that are 10 years old or older and replace them at no cost to leagues or coaches.
Part of the program will also be to educate coaches with the latest information on how to keep their young athletes healthier and safer.
Oakland Raiders Chief Executive Amy Trask says the Raiders are, “thrilled that this initiative will have a local impact.”
