Lawyers representing NYJ quarterback Tim Tebow are threatening legal action against a T-shirt manufacturer for selling ‘My Jesus’ T-shirts that are similar to the Jet’s official logo, TMZ.com reported.
Cubby Tees, mentions Tebow and says it is not officially endorsed by him in their T-shirt promo.
In the cease and desist letter obtained by TMZ, Tebow’s lawyers say, “The Merchandise makes it appear as if Mr. Tebow actually endorses Cubby Tees and its products.”
But the company which sells “original sports-related tee shirts by real fans for real fans” isn’t closing up shop.
They told TMZ that they sent a response to Tebow’s lawyers saying the design “shares nothing with Mr. Tebow except for the promotion of a common Lord and Savior.”
