Charges against Tampa Bay cornerback dropped

The Buccaneers’ cornerback Aqib Talib no longer faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to his attorney, Frank Perez, the felony charge was dropped due to a questionable chief witness and a lack of evidence. The incidence occurred in March, 2011, and allegedly involved his sister’s boyfriend. However, the league is investigating the matter to determine a potential suspension for Talib.
