“If you got nuthin’ good to say then don’t say nuthin’…” Wait, I was going to say that was something my momma always told me when I was young, but she would never use such awful grammar… I think that phrase is actually from the remix to Usher’s “Confessions.” You know, it’s the version with Kanye West and Jermaine Dupri. No? Well, whatever… You probably just want to know the point, right?
I have not blogged about the Bengals in quite some time. I just felt like I was waaay too negative about a team I am supposed to passionately support. Not surprisingly, er, uhm… My editor did not understand (or agree with) the logic of a “blogger” NOT “blogging.” *shrugs* I mean, it made sense to me in my head, but trying to explain it out loud… Meh… Not so much…
So, what do I want to blog about then? Well, Marvin Lewis is hosting his annual youth football camp from June 4-6th in Cincinnati, Ohio. Children ages 9-14 will have the opportunity to workout at Paul Brown Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bengals. The best part? It’s FREE!!! For more information on the camp, please call a representative from

Now, that is something super positive to share, right? Well, since I want to gain some momentum… The Bengals have signed at least eight of their ten 2012 draft picks, including both first rounders, Dre Kirkpatrick and Kevin Zeitler (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7972704/cincinnati-bengals-sign-first-round-pick-kevin-zeitler-four-year-deal).
Lastly, the Cincinnati Reds are playing good baseball! I’m talking about a winning record and first place position in the NL Central division!!! Okay, technically, that has nothing to do with Bengals football, but… Success has a way of rubbing off on other teams in a city (think New England Patriots – football, Boston Red Sox – baseball and Boston Bruins – hockey) so I’m cheering for the Reds in baseball too! Hey, I’m willing to try anything to improve the Bengals’ football karma!!!
