Despite the torrential downpour in Baltimore, eight hundred ladies decked out in purple flocked to M & T Bank Stadium to play Bingo. On Thursday, the Baltimore Ravens and Purple held their 1st Annual “Purple Bingo Night.” Purple Bingo is an event designed for female fans 18 and over. Some highlights of the evening included food, drinks, on-field activities, obstacle courses, locker room tours, and of course, BINGO!
Ravens WR Torrey Smith was on hand to call the numbers with proceeds going to the Torrey Smith Foundation.
The ladies played 26 rounds of bingo for a chance to win Ravens-themed prizes. The prizes included autographed memorabilia, facility tours, season tickets, and Nike football gear. The winner of each round also got the chance to have their photo taken with Torrey.
“Torrey is always a gracious host, said Ada Orie, Ravens fan. “It was a fun night with lots of great prizes, all for a good cause. I hope the Ravens do more events like this for the ladies.”
“This event couldn’t have come at a better time, a week before training camp,” said Laleeta Lewis, Ravens fan. “It gets us pumped and ready to start the season. It’s great to see our players take time out of their busy schedules to hang out with the fans and have fun.”
Purple Bingo is an evolution of A Purple Evening, an annual women’s event and in its debut; Purple Bingo was completely sold out.
Purple is the official Ravens club created just for women. Purple events allow female fans to connect with one another, share similar interests, and learn the game of football together. Every NFL team should have club like this.

Sorry I missed it. I hope to be around during the next one;-)
