Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? Mark your calendar Cowboys fans, training camp for “Big D” starts Monday, July 30th, 2012, with hoopla only befitting of Jerry Jones’ team, in the beautiful city of Oxnard, CA! Training camp will run until Friday, August 17th, 2012, and with the Cowboys coming to town, you can guarantee plenty of fun and excitement for Cowboys fans. They’ll be something for everyone from adults to kids. Going to see the Cowboys in training camp won’t just be about the team getting ready for the upcoming season and the fans getting a preview of what they’ll see this fall. It will also be about Dallas being Dallas in every way from the opening day ceremony of the first day of camp to the kids competing in organized football events.
Here is the upcoming training camp schedule and an some of the events that will be going on the first few days, just remember, even with training camps, the schedule is subject to change. Sunday, August 5th, will be the Blue/White Scrimmage with the first preseason game for the Cowboys, on August 13th, at Oakland.
So, if you are not one of those fortunate fans that can attend and are green with envy, like myself, don’t worry, the Cowboys haven’t forgotten about their legion of fans all over the world. They’ll have you covered with live radio reports and internet broadcasts featuring players and coaches. And of course ESPN and the NFL Network will have daily reports.
The Cowboys Tour trucks, team merchandise and Hall of Fame trailers will be at the site throughout camp. There is on public practice per day of camp scheduled from 2:30pm-5:30pm. The last day of camp is usually just a walk-through, with likely no or minimal field practice in the morning.
Fan Events
The Dallas Cowboys Training Camp offers youth the opportunity to watch football players up close or participate as they train for the upcoming season.

Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick for Kids – Tuesday, August 14, 1:00pm
Pacifica High School Stadium, 600 E. Gonzales Road, Oxnard
Youths dreaming of a professional football career will have the opportunity to play out their dreams as the City of Oxnard hosts the Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick Contest. Boys and girls ages 8-15 can compete for fun. Trophies will be handed out for the top three places.
