Former Rivals Join Forces

Dating back to the college days of Peyton Manning, quarterback at Tennessee and Champ Bailey, corner-back at Georgia, the long time SEC rivals have now joined forces and become leaders for the Broncos.  While playing against each other for three years in college Manning has great things to say of Bailey.

“He’s the best corner I’ve played against in my career,” Manning said of Bailey on Thursday in quotes distributed by the team. “He always presents an intense match-up problem. Champ has never intercepted me in the NFL, but I don’t think I’ve ever thrown a touchdown on him either, so it’s a pretty good battle. He got me in college one time on an interception, so I’m glad we’re on the same team.”

Manning is not the only one with good words to say about his former rival. According to a press conference recently held after practice Bailey says “he’s an amazing player, his leadership alone is bar-none, the best in the league. You need a guy like that on your team.”

As a Bronco fan you have to love these two future hall of fame players on both sides of the ball.

I graduated from Texas Tech University by the grace of God. I have since traveled the world and enjoyed life to the fullest. I miss traveling the world as a flight attendant but so blessed for the opportunity. Growing up as a football coach’s daughter, it is in my blood to coach. I was born and raised in Texas, to like good football not a team. My heart and loyalties reside with a recruitment letter from Denver and a sturdy coffee table.
