Hey Steeler Nation!
The last exhibition game is being played tonight at Heinz Field against the Carolina Panthers. Isaac Redman won’t be in the line up this evening, due to a sore ankle. At last! Mike Wallace is where he belongs. After ending his holdout on Tuesday, he says he’s been working out, knows the playbook and he’s ready to go. Excellent news! Now that he’s back, OC Todd Haley can use 4 WR in his 4 WR set. Until now, he’s been using Miller and Rainey as the fourth. I can’t wait to see him back in action.
Our guy, DeCastro (injured in the game v Buffalo last week), had surgery yesterday. It looks like we may get him back mid-season, but Tomlin will have to make that call when the time comes.
Former Steelers RB Tim Worley will be a guest on Thursday Night Tailgate with Mascaro & Cane tonight. He was drafted in the first round by the Steelers back in 1989. Looking forward to hearing his stories.
Finally, we have approximately 9 days to prepare for our revenge game with Denver. It took me several months to recover from the Heartbreak of losing that game last January. During the draft, we’ve picked up new protectors for Ben, we know that Wallace can outrun daylight and Antonio Brown is really stepping it up! So, I say “Bring it on, Denver”!
HERE WE GO….

Hey Karon, thanks for the mention. Ang and I love your stuff!
Tim Worley was a great guest last week on Thursday Night Tailgate. Your listeners can stream or download the show by going to our web site, http://www.thursdaynighttailgate.com. This week we continue the Steelers love with 4 time Super Bowl Champion TE Randy Grossman and former RB Verron Haynes. On our One Year Anniversary Special, September 20th, Andy Russell will join us. Andy has been a wonderful supporter of the show and this will be his third time joining us. The following week former Steelers Tackle Marvel Smith will be one of our guests and later in November former FB/TE Matt Cushing will be back for his second appearance. So check out the show and let me know what you think…
As always, thanks for the support Karon!
Thank you for your comment Kevin. Yes, will have to wait and see about DeCastro…hopefully he will recover quickly from his surgery! Go Steelers!
