NFL Fans and Cee Lo Green Set the Stage for Thursday Night Matchups

In an effort to make the 2013 NFL season “for the fans, by the fans,” the NFL Network is introducing their newest idea to incorporate football fans and Grammy Award-winning artist  Cee Lo Green in a televised opening segment.

Dubbed by both the NFL Network and Cee Lo Green as “Fanthem (Fan-Anthem),” die-hards will have the opportunity to send in their videos to be included in the 90 second montage, airing prior to each Thursday night game.  Chosen fans will be notified via email if they were among the selected videos to be included, giving ample time to notify friends and families to tune in to the NFL Network for their prime-time debut.

CeeLo Green praises the idea, saying he’s “honored to help create such a historic, pop-culture moment and interactive fan experience.”

The NFL Network will have the chance to put their innovative opener to the test on the first Thursday night game, slated for September 13th.  Just before the Chargers take on the Packers, those watching from home can root on fellow fans in their home videoes to the tune of Cee Lo’s “I Love Football.”

For interested any interested Her Game Lifers, break out your video cameras and get filming to support your team of choice on their Thursday night appearance.  All prospective videos can be uploaded directly to www.nfl.com/fanthem for consideration.
