Saturday marked the end of the Texans’ open practices, morning sessions which allowed fans to attend the camp for free. The Texans developed a first-come-first-serve online system where fans could go to www.houstontexans.com and download tickets to the open practices. The system, which went live for 2012 a few days before the camp began, was stalled for hours by fans attempting to download tickets.
The level of interest in the team
has definitely sky rocketed after last year’s divisional championship season. That fact is quite apparent when considering that some fans waited for at least three hours to download their tickets. Texans fans came out in droves to the camp, some waiting in line for over an hour before the 8am camp started just to secure a prime spot along the practice field. By day 3 of the camp, the fans blew out the record for attendance at any one camp. Overall, 29,381 fans attended training camp which is the most in team history. The city is on fire and the fans are geared up for an exciting start to the season next week at Carolina.

Awesome job Morgan and the pics are so nice. Keep up the great work.
Can’t wait for the games to begin. We went to practice 3 times. TEXANS look great, even in that HOT sun.
Morgan-
This is an awesome blog with some great info! Great to see football being so successful. Look what we had to say on our blog about NFL Training Camps this year:

Glad to see the Texans working to improve the fan experience. It’s gonna be a great season. GO TEXANS!!
Including the ten minutes of explaining to them why no one was going to win, we had a fantastic time. I’m happy we were able to be part of a record breaking training camp. Great article, Morgan. Go Texans!
I love this!!!!
They start young in Texas!
