Dwight Freeney by Jeffrey Beall
Week two of the NFL season is already behind us! Sunday, the Colts pulled off their first home victory over the Minnesota Vikings, despite the absences of notable players due to injuries. As we head into week three let’s catch up on the slew of injuries that have affected players on the roster:
Dwight Freeney (OLB)
-Ankle injury from week one matchup against the Chicago Bears
-Did not participate in practice in week two and did not play Sunday against the Vikings
-Coach Pagano has talked about Freeney’s injury as day-to-day progress in the local media
-ESPN analyst Adam Schefter stated that we shouldn’t expect to see Dwight on the field for another month or so
Austin Collie (WR)
-Suffered third or possibly fourth concussion in the preseason
-Fully participated in practice last Wednesday, but he did not practice the rest of the week
-He was expected to play in Sunday’s game against the Vikings but he was sidelined
-Whether Collie is ready to play or not is being detected on a weekly basis. He was expected to be well enough the last two games but did not play.
Joe Reitz (G)
-Knee injury
-Did not practice in week two and did not play in either games against the Bears or Vikings
-Reitz’s progress is also being monitored day-by-day
-It is not confirmed whether Reitz will play next week against the Jaguars
Winston Justice (T)
-Concussion from head injury against the Bears
-He had limited participation in practice on Wednesday, but he was in full participation the rest of the week
-Listed as questionable to play in the home opener on Sunday and he did not play
-It is uncertain whether Justice will fully practice and play against the Jaguars in week 3
Pat Angerer (ILB)
-Fractured foot from preseason opener against the St. Louis Rams
- Did not practice last week
- Projected to be out at least six weeks
T.Y. Hilton (WR)
-Out with shoulder injury in week one
-Fully participated during week two and was cleared to play
-Made regular season and Fantasy debut in Sunday’s game
Samson Steele (C)
-Injured knee in Sunday’s game against the Vikings
-Projected to have an MRI on his knee to further determine his participation in practice and the next game
Coach Pagano and the team are remaining positive and optimistic about all of these injuries. Colts Nation rise up and send positive energy and prayers their way in hopes for speedy recoveries.

Magnificent. I agree.
