Five Questions heading into Browns, Bills Match-Up

  1. Where has tight end Jordan Cameron been? After an impressive pre-season Cameron has been virtually left out of the offense. While he did suffer a back injury in the pre-season and reportedly has a groin injury, he was sighted in week one but was absent in Cincinnati. The former USC basketball player is a big, talented target who appeared to have already had at least some chemistry with quarterback Brandon Weeden, while starting tight end Benjamin Watson sat out the entire pre-season with an injury and has mostly been a non-factor the first two weeks. Alex Smith did step in against the Bengals last week but ended up injured with a concussion.
  2. Why doesn’t wide receiver Jordan Norwood even suit up? Norwood seems to have a good grasp of the offense and was effective last season on certain packages, but he has not even been active on game day through the first two weeks of the season. Cleveland Browns play-by-play analyst Jim Donovan made mention of Norwood’s absence following the Browns loss to the Eagles in week one, but it appears that the drafting of rookies Josh Gordon and Travis Benjamin has sent Norwood to the bench.

The Browns and Bills have played some dramatic games against one another over the past few seasons. Most notably was the blizzard in Cleveland where Phil Dawson kicked a forty-nine yard field goal in the swirling winds off Lake Erie that bounced off the bar and went in. The Browns will obviously have to stop Bills running back CJ Spiller, who has been torching defenses the first two weeks of the season, in order to win this game. Hopefully, the young defensive backs learned from their costly mistakes last week and step it up on Sunday. If not, the Browns face yet another dismal 0-3 start.

I have been a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan ever since I can remember and was a football cheerleader from the age of nine until I graduated from high school. I was devastated when the Browns left for Baltimore. I couldn’t watch the NFL anymore and refused to become a fan of any another team. I drive two and a half hours from Columbus, OH to Cleveland to almost every home game where I sit in the row six of the Dawg Pound. I have attended training camp and also try to go to away games whenever I can. I have seen them play in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and Jacksonville, and my goal is to eventually see them play in every stadium in the league! I refuse to miss a single play of a game (whether it is a pre-season or regular season game) no matter how badly they may be losing or how awful the weather may be off Lake Erie. I literally schedule my life around their games and have missed baby showers, bowling (I’m a bowler), and other events just to watch their games live. My dog is even named Dieken after the great former Brown and current Browns radio color analyst Doug Dieken. I am a member of Browns Backers Worldwide and bleed orange and brown. Go, Browns!
