During the offseason, Coach Jim Harbaugh said that wide receiver Michael Crabtree has some of the best hands he’s ever seen. After watching the season so far, I think it’s safe to say that Crabtree is looking excellent! I look forward to watching him play every week, and his hands are looking like some of the best in the league. Crabtree had a great game against the Bills on Sunday, and tallied 6 receptions for 113 yards and 1 touchdown. This marked his 4th career, 100-yard game, and first since 11/20/11 vs. Arizona where he garnered a total of 120 yards. He also set a first-half career-high with 103 receiving yards. Did I also mention he is one of the starting wide receivers on my fantasy team who has been giving a solid performance week after week? I think things will only go up for Crabtree from here, especially after coming off a dismal playoff performance last year. He is looking more focused than ever, and the 49ers are also more equipped in the receiver position this season.
Coming off two weeks in a row of blow out games seems like nothing for these players, as they can only prepare for the weeks ahead. Crabtree told reporters after the game that, “The big test will be next week. We did good today but we’re looking forward to next week. We’ll see how we do next week.” This is sure to be one epic re-match and the 49ers will be looking for redemption after last year’s tough loss in the NFC Championship game against the New York Giants.
One last thing to note: the 49ers made history on Sunday, becoming the first team in NFL history to post 300-or-more yards rushing (311) and passing (310) in the same game. That’s 621 net yards! To end a fantastic team victory, Coach Harbaugh said it best in his locker room speech: “Who could possibly have it better than us? NO BODY!”
