In week 7, the New York Jets played the New England Patriots and they played everything but an effortless game. Even though they lost, they battled it out with their division rivals and even went into overtime. It was just one simple play that cost them the game. As a Jets fan, I’m still extremely proud of the effort they put out. The Jets are now 3-4 in their division and fall in third place behind New England and Miami.

This week they revisit the Miami Dolphins back at home and are hoping to get another win against them. In week 3 the Jets traveled to Miami to face their other division rivals and walked away with the 23-20 victory. The Jets actually did better than many predicted in their week 7 match and I know being back at home and playing a team they beat just a few weeks ago will be no problem. The last time I wrote about these two teams ( Revis Island Closed For Business) meeting, some words were exchanged between Dolphins RB Reggie Bush and some members of the Jets leading to Bush saying that Revis’s injury was karma. Coach Ryan recently put his two cents in and recently told reporters that he’s waiting for Bush to apologize to Revis. Ryan insist that the comment made towards Bush and that started this war of words wasn’t meant in any vindictive way, he was simply just implying that since Bush is such a great player that they would have to keep a close eye on him on the field. Bush also commented back saying that he wasn’t bothered by this, its football and he understands that the game has to be played. Ryan wasn’t the only Jets member to make comments about the team’s upcoming matchup. Jets safety LaRon Landry was very vocal about the week 3 injury he caused to Bush making him leave the game. He feels that Bush will be expecting some more hard hits and says he isn’t worried about fines or penalties.
Going into this game the Jets are still the favorite to win, they currently lead their total 94 meetings between the Dolphins with 49-44-1. They Dolphins are well rested coming off their bye week and have also made their way back to .500 after winning their last two games. The Dolphins currently rank at No 21 for offense but the Jets are not far behind at No. 29 and in defense the Dolphins rank No. 20 and the Jets No. 19. Even though the rankings are very close the Jets are still the stronger team, even considering the injuries they should still will be able to win this game. It will be a close game but being back at home for the Jets and the improvement of their offense which we seen last week there shouldn’t be much of a concern to go out there and redeem back second place in the division.
The meeting between these two will be everything but quiet as both teams have some steam to blow off at each other, so expect a hard hitting and very strong defensive game. Gang Green, are you ready!?!?
