Griffin, GA native Bobby Rainey signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and quickly became a fan favorite after being released before the team’s season opener. Rainey was re-signed to the practice squad two days later and ultimately promoted to the 53 man roster. With an impressive preseason outing, he led the Ravens in receiving during Baltimore’s four exhibition games, catching 14 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 55 rushing yards. We recently caught up with Bobby to find out what he’s up to beyond the pads.
HGL: What are you listening to on your iPod?
BR: Little of everything. But, mostly the newest rap & R&B music.
HGL: What is the last gadget/electronic item you purchased?
BR: That’s a hard one! A TV, I guess.
HGL: Favorite vacation spot?
BR: Anywhere it’s hot & a clear water beach
HGL: Best birthday gift you’ve received or given?
BR: Man that’s tough too! I don’t know.
HGL: Favorite restaurant/ bar / lounge (in your team’s city)?
BR: It’s between IHOP & Granny’s.
HGL: What’s your proudest moment? / Which accomplishment (on or off the field) are you most proud of?
BR: Getting my degree in Sports Management
HGL: If you weren’t in the NFL, what would you be doing?
BR: Coaching or Real Estate
