If you love the Broncos, you know Sunday games are only part of the story. A lot goes down the other six days of the week. Don’t worry if you missed the passed few news stories, I got you covered.
NFL honors Von Miller – Von Miller has been named the AFC defensive player of the month. This past month, Denver went 4-0, Miller had eight sacks, 10 tackles for loss and three fumble recoveries. He was also the only player in the NFL to have a sack in every game in November.
RB gets Peyton Manning autograph – You may have heard about this one. KC Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles went up to QB Peyton Manning after an embarrassing loss and asked for his autograph. Personally, I don’t think this is a huge deal. A former player on SportsCenter said it best; players play the game because they are also fans of the game. I think it’s a story of respecting a future Hall of Famer and nothing more.
Peyton Manning had concussion test – Denver fans’ hearts stop whenever Peyton Manning is hit. Seriously. During the KC game last Sunday, Peyton went down hard and underwent concussion test. Even with the test, he didn’t miss a snap. It’s cool, guys. Peyton’s fine.
Broncos want to host Super Bowl LLI in 2018 – Can you imagine Denver hosting a Super Bowl? The city can. They, in conjunction with the Denver Broncos, have submitted for a bid to host the Super Bowl in 2018, 2019, or 2020. I think the stadium is too small/outdated to host such an event, but Denver is a great host city. It will be fun to see how this bid progresses.
Broncos on verge of winning the West – Next week the Broncos can clinch the division with a win or a Chargers loss. Not matter how you slice it, looks like the Broncos are play off bound, and that’s amazing.
Denver Broncos Sign Running Back Jacob Hester – Hester was signed to the Broncos on 11/26/12. He is a former San Diego Charger and at 235 pounds, becomes the biggest back on the Broncos’ roster.
Like I said, lots of great things going on. All fans will look forward to the Tampa Bay game this weekend. Freeman has had a stand out season to say the least and it should be a great test for the Broncos leading into the post season.
