Chuck Pagano, The Visionary

The Colts had another emotionally charged win yesterday against the Miami Dolphins.  The stage was set at Lucas Oil Stadium with a sold out game and an impeccable Andrew Luck.  The rookie QB made history passing for 433 yards, but the talk of the town was ailing head coach, Chuck Pagano.  Yesterday was his first appearance at a game since October.  His presence was the last piece to the puzzle that made it a special day in Indianapolis.

Chuck appeared all but weak Sunday as he lifted the spirits of Colts fans, his team and anyone who is a sports fan.  ESPN Sportscaster Stuart Scott Tweeted:

“Colts coach/fellow C fighter Chuck Pagano tells team he fights C to dance at his 2 daughters wedding.  SAME THING I’VE SAID! #livestrong”

“Pretty strong encouraging words makes you a Colts and Chuck fan IMMEDIATELY!!”

Those strong words that Scott referred to came during the post-game locker room speech when the team rallied around their coach.  Pagano mentioned all the naysayers that counted the young Colts team out in the beginning saying, “You know where they had us in the beginning, every last one of them but you live in a vision, not in circumstances.”  He went on to encourage the team by adamantly saying that he will dance at two more of his daughters weddings and he will hoist that Lombardy Trophy up several times!

Coach Pagano will begin his second round of chemotherapy this week for a rare form of Leukemia.  Listen to his locker room speech below:
