What should we do with Thanksgiving leftovers?… make turkey sandwiches! That is the most common answer. But every time you want a sandwich with your favorite side dishes included in it, you have to take everything out of the fridge. Well this will save you that step and have all your ingredients neatly wrapped up in one.
Imagine all of your favorite ingredients from your turkey feast in one easy bite bite.
Take a large sheet of foil. Spread the leftover stuffing on the bottom, pressing it together to form a rectangular shape. Then add a thin layer mashed potatoes and gravy over the stuffing. Then add your green beans or collard greens as your next layer. Finally add thinly slice turkey and cranberry sauce lengthwise down the middle of the rectangle. Carefully roll the foil tightly to create a pinwheel effect and secure the ends of the foil. Bake for 20 min. at 350 or until warmed. Once ready, take off the foil and slice the leftover roll to form pinwheels and place on any leftover dinner rolls. Now you have utilized all the available leftovers into a delicious all in one bite turkey sandwich! Feel free to use any of your favorite ingredients with this one. Whether it is macaroni and cheese, sweet potato souffle, squash casserole, cranberry chutney or anything of your choosing, use it as the filling to your easy breezy turkey sandwich.
Enjoy!
