It was a rookie quarterback show down between Russell Wilson and Ryan Tannehill on Sunday afternoon. As the game began, it seemed as if Tannehill and the Fins were the same ‘ol team. However, once the unanticipated sprinklers came on in the third quarter it seemed as if it gave Miami that extra push to get the job done.
Ryan Tannehill came back from a 98-yd kickoff return touchdown with an 80-yd drive that resulted in a 29-yd TD pass to Charles Clay to tie the game, 21-21. In the final possession, Tannehill seemed to relish in the pressure. He took his team 65 yards in seven plays. WR Davone Bess totaled two receptions for 44 yards. Tannehill was 18-for-26 passing, 253 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while Russell Wilson was 21-for-27 passing, 227 yards, and two touchdowns.
The Dolphins skimmed pass the Seahawks with a winning 43-yd FG by Dan Carpenter. Miami’s playoff possibilities are still active (5-6) with five games left of regular season. But, two of those games are against New England and a re-visit with the Bills, and we all know how that Thursday night game ended.
Miami plays the Patriots next Sunday, December 2nd at Sun Life Stadium at 1p EST.
