Okay, I made up the name because it sounded more fun than Italian nachos – and these are fun! Pasta chips, mozzarella cheese and pizza sauce combine with your favorite pizza toppings to create a new twist on a popular appetizer. Italian nachos can be made with tortilla chips but for a light and crispy alternative, use wonton wrappers!
For the dish you will need:
One package wonton or egg roll wrappers
Frying oil
2 cups shredded Italian blend or mozzarella cheese
Pizza or Marinara sauce
Toppings; Pepperoni, sausage, peppers – anything you like on your pizza.

Deep fry the wonton wrappers in hot oil for 30 seconds to a minute. You’ll see them begin to brown indicating they are done. Drain them on a rack. I used a cooling rack with paper towels underneath. When they are cool and dry you may store them or use them immediately.
To make the nachos, spread the chips evenly across a large cookie sheet.
Sprinkle cheese evenly over chips
Sprinkle sauce over chips and cheese
Top with your favorite toppings
Bake under the broiler until cheese is melted – about 5 minutes.
That’s it! It can’t get much easier. I hope they are the hit of your party!
