Jermaine Cunningham is the latest of NFL players suspended for testing positive on a drug test. He follows in the steps of Aqib Talib, Brandon Bolden, Richard Sherman, and Eric Wright, all of which claim that Adderall was the substance. I can tell you one thing, I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU!
Adderall is not an excuse boys, and I am tired of you boys thinking we are naive enough to believe you! Adderall is known to college kids as a “Smart Pill”. Some college student take Adderall during finals week to help them focus. If we drug tested all college students during finals week, more then half of students would have to be suspended, this is how people justify that testing positive for Adderall is okay. But Adderall is a drug that helps people stay focused and awake, so why then, would an NFL athletes use Adderall? My guess is that they don’t.
Tom Curran from Comcast Sports reports ” the NFL does not cite the performance enhancing substance found in a players system, as a result the players blame Adderall.” Seems to make sense, I mean a player will not lose titles over abusing Adderall, and most people will just brush off the suspension, but if it came out they were using performance enhancers then they could say good bye to titles and a clean reputation.
What I see is this not only are you cheating by taking performance enhancers but you are also lying about it! If this was the Tour De France, you would be like Lance Armstrong and stripped of any accomplishments you have earned. Let’s be real NFL, you are not protecting anyone, if anything you are stating that players can lie about their substance abuse.
NFL athlete’s you are not fooling anyone. I did not need Adderall to focus on your abnormally large muscles that appeared over night. It is an insult to my intelligence stating you abused Adderall, let’s just say what this is, used performance enhancers and got caught. Period!
