Patriots: Full Team Win

I am going to try and keep this short and simple based on the fact that we have two games this week. The Patriots played the Colts on Sunday, and  let’s just say Andrew left his Luck at home.

A big Pact on this game, was the fact that the Patriots had the new player Aqib Talib (yes I had to say that a bunch of times to get it right) who is going to help our struggling defense and based on his first game he made an impact.

FIRST QUARTER

The first drive of the game, Andrew Luck was able to lead his team down the filed. Carter made an easy run to the end zone and score a 1 yard touchdown. ex-Patriot Vinatieri made the extra point.

Brady was not going to let the rookie QB get the best of him so he battled back, marching by the offense down the field. Brady would connected with his favorite target Gronkowski, for the touchdown, Gostkowski would tie the game. Luck had to show up Brady and again passed his way down the field for another Colts touchdown, this time he connected with Hilton. Vinatieri’s extra point  made the game 14- 7 Colts. Brady would get the ball back and give a pass to Edleman, the Pats are now at the Colts 39yrd line and the quarter came to an end.

SECOND QUARTER

Brady he would not answer Luck’s points on the first drive of the quarter. No worries though, the Colts did not have a successful offensive drive and had to punt the ball right back to the Pats.

Here is where things get interesting, the Colts got a penalty on their first punt attempt, forcing them to re-punt the ball. On the re-punt, Edleman was able to run 68yards for a Touchdown. An extra point put the game tied, 14-14.

The Patriots were not done there, a deep pass attempt to Wayne, was intercepted but Talib and run back for another Patriot’s touchdown. The Patriots have now scored on all three phases of the game, and lead 21-14.

Luck tried to shake off the interception but did not do as well as he hoped. Luck managed to get the Colts into field goal range, where Vinatieri kicked a 47yrd field goal, and the Colts trail 17-21.

Tom Brady decided to match that field goal, by leading the Patriots into field goal range. Gostkowski kicked a 31 yarder to increase the lead by 7. the patriots now on top 24-17.

The Colts had the ball back but a failed 58yard field goal by Vinatieri ended the half.

THIRD QUARTER

The third quarter was all Patriots, coming out of halftime, Brady was eager to make a statement and marched the offense down the field. He would give Edleman his second touchdown of the night. the Patriots are now ahead 31-17.

despite the Colts best attempts, they would not have much luck moving the ball down the field. a few series went by and then the Patriots Robbed the Colts, literary, Rob Ninkcovich forced Luck to fumble and then recovered the fumble. then Brady came out, and a deep pass to Rob Gronkowski gave the Patriots another touchdown. the Patriots were now leading 38-17.

The Colts got the ball back with 3:22 left in the third quarter and moved the ball down the filed, but were unable to score before the quarter came to an end.

FOURTH QUARTER
The fourth quarter began, with Luck throwing a short pass intended for Wayne, but intercepted by Dennard. Dennard was able to get the pick six, with an 87yard run. The Patriots are up 45-17.

Luck was able to shake that interception off as he led his team down the field. A deep pass to Hilton would mend his wounded spirit and get he Colts a touchdown. The score is now 24-45 Patriots.

Brady would answer those points with another Patriots touchdown, Ridley would run 3 yards for these point, adding insult to injury, the Patriots lead 52-24. The Patriots would stop the Colts again, and get good field position with another Edleman punt return. Vereen would finish the Patriots drive with a 3-yard touchdown run.

On the extra point attempt, Rob Gronkowski broke his forearm, although you cannot really see anything on film. A lot of people are questioning what he was still doing in the game.

The Colts got the ball back only to use up time,Luck threw the ball back to Patriots with a pass intercepted by Wilson. That would end the game.

The Patriots are taking on the Jets on Thanksgiving, and if the Patriots get the win over the Jets, then the Jets will have a slim to none chance at the  playoffs soo Go Pats!
