The Detroit Lions are going to embark on a 3 consecutuve home game duty this week. Theri record stands at a lackluster 4-5 count. This is it! If they are looking to get in on a wild card spot for the playoffs for the second year in a row then the Lions need to take down the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers arrive in Detroit riddled with injuries. Among those sitting out on Sunday are Cheesehead favorites; Clay Matthews, Greg Jennings, Charles Woodson, & Bryan Bulaga. In my opinion the two most disturbing of these absences are Matthews and Bulaga. The Packers have already made adjustments for Jennings and Woodson this season and are showing that they always have a “Next Man Up” mindset under Coach Mike’s leadership.
Look, when facing Cliff Avril, Kyle Vanden Bosch & the likes of Dirty Suh, you have to play Packer tough and Packer perfect.
If you love late season hard fought football Sundays, this game won’t let you down.
For the Lions it is basically playoffs arriving early. For the Packers, the Divison Titleship lays on the line in the next two games. (Lions, Giants)
Here is a short “Must Do” list for the Packers.
1. Crosby MUST make the KICKS. Its too late in the season for the misses.
2. Keep Calvin Johnson out of the end zone!
3. Protect Rodgers
4. Out-coach the Lions consistently through all 4 quarters
GO PACK GO
